KNITTING

Monday Morning Knitting with Martha Owen

April 7, 14, 21 and maybe the 28th from 10am - 12noon   $6/day
KNITTING day and night, continues with Martha. We are revisiting socks and starting shawls for cool spring evening wear and entertaining any other requests. Please call in and let us know what you need help with. Have a cup of tea and knit with your friends.

Monday Night Knitting with Martha Owen - Complimentary

April 7, 14, 21 and maybe 28th from 7-9pm
The evening session is a bit more, let's say, "chatty.” You will see all types of projects in any given evening, some quite simple and some quite advanced in design. All levels welcome!   We have about 12 chairs at Yarn Circle, so you may want to bring one along if you have something portable. The store is open late.

SPINNING

Spinning (and Knitting) Saturdays with Martha Owen

April 19th from 9 am-12 noon $15 per session - Spinning Saturdays have developed into a clinic. Work on what you want. Start with the wheel to see if you want to spin at all. Learn about the hand spindle, a portable spinning tool. Be in the company of other spinners to share ideas. Call ahead and tell Martha what you are looking for so she can be ready. Reservations required; 4 student minimum.

WEAVING

Beginning Weaving - Weave a Scarf with Pam Howard

Planned for after the move to new location in June - $125 plus yarn cost.
In four sessions, you will learn the basics of the floor loom and take home a lovely project. No need for a loom because you will be able to weave on the Yarn Circle looms. Pre-registration is a must, minimum of two students, maximum of three. Call 828-835-4592 to register, $50 deposit required to hold space. Come learn what weaving is all about.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private Spinning and/or Knitting Lessons with Martha Owen
By appointment $25 per hour

Martha’s days at the store are usually Monday and Friday and alternate Saturday’s. Don’t hesitate to call and make an appointment for a little extra assistance with your spinning or knitting projects.

Private Weaving Lessons with Pam Howard
By appointment $50 per four hour session

Pam’s days at the store are usually Tuesday and Wednesday and alternate Saturday’s. Don't hesitate to call and make an appointment for a little extra assistance in weaving! Bring your own loom or use one of the looms at the shop.

Private Crochet Lessons with Karen Smith

By appointment $10 per session

Have you always wanted to learn to crochet? Karen is the one to teach you. Call Yarn Circle to make an appointment.
